Paul Gauntt
Paul Gauntt, and his wife Carolyn, came to FBC Palmer in September, 2015.  Paul is a graduate of  Robert E. Lee High School, Midland, Texas.  He attended Jacksonville College, Sam Houston State University and BMA Theological Seminary, Jacksonville, Texas. He served as music-youth minister in three churches prior to entering the pastorate in 1975, and has been pastor of churches in east, central and west Texas for 16 years.  He was director of Church Ministries for the Baptist Missionary Association of Texas from 1985-2001. For five years, he was a staff writer for the Waxahachie Daily Light, and is a contributing writer for the Baptist Progress, the official publication of the BMA of Texas. 
Carolyn is a Port Neches-Groves High School graduate, She received her A.A. degree from Jacksonville College, a B.A. in Elementary Education at Stephen F. Austin University, Nacogdoches, and was an elementary school teacher for 40 years, and served as children’s ministry director at Farley Street Baptist of Waxahachie for six years.
  Paul and Carolyn have a son and daughter who are twins – Derek Gauntt, wife Christine, and son, Knox, all of Castle Rock, Colo.;  Randi is married to Matthew Loafman, and the couple are the parents of two daughters, Lexi and Luci;  and three sons, Luke, Levi, and Landry, two months.
