Word of Encouragement – 8/9/17

To understand how God works to accomplish His will, one should have an understanding of the word “paradox.”

A paradox is a statement or proposition that seems self-contradictory or absurd but in reality, expresses a truth. It is paradoxical to think about someone who is virtually devoid of human ingenuity or skills, or even hope, yet becoming a master craftsman, or world renowned educator, military leader, or corporate giant.

God commands you to rest!

Don’t you just love the thought of rest? We relish our bedtime after a grueling day — or a quick, afternoon power nap. God has designed these human bodies with a need to rest. Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School was a success! The kids had fun, the workers had fun, but most importantly, we got to share the gospel with everyone there. Our theme was Maker Fun Factory: Designed by God, Built for a purpose. Each night, the kids got to sing fun songs, eat a snack, watch an inspirational video about kids like them, hear a Bible story, play games, and make a craft. Talk about a fun-packed week! Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make this such a special week. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
